For over 15 years, the Rochester community has been deeply committed to daily Torah learning. Every night, the Beis Medrash at Light of Israel buzzes with activity as individuals engage in Torah study, attend classes, and participate in Daf Yomi. Under the inspiring leadership of Rabbi Avi Mammon and Rabbi Dovid Lagunov, an increasing number of community members have embraced regular Torah study.
Building on this success, and with the support of dedicated partners both in Rochester and beyond, the vision of establishing a Community Kollel has come to fruition. We are thrilled to welcome a team of five esteemed kollel rabbis, led by Rosh Kollel Rabbi Yosef Nochomovitz, to Rochester.
